Tashkent to host Uzbek-Turkish media forum with participation of over 40 foreign journalists

ANKARA, May 31. /Dunyo IA/. The Uzbek-Turkish Media Forum will be held on June 2–3 at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications. The event is being jointly organized with the Global Journalists Council, an association that brings together hundreds of Turkish and international journalists, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Among the forum participants are expected to be representatives of leading Turkish media outlets, including NTV television, the newspapers Önce Vatan and Hakimiyet, as well as the Demirören News Agency (DHA). Following their visit, they are expected to widely share their impressions of Uzbekistan through Turkish media platforms. The forum is also expected to attract around 40 journalists from Azerbaijan, North Macedonia, and other European countries.

The program will feature presentations by experienced journalists and professors specializing in communications, who will share their professional expertise and insights with participants.

In addition, a group of journalists will visit the historic cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, where they will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s rich history and cultural heritage.

Highlighting the importance of the visit for both media cooperation and bilateral relations, Mehmet Ali Dim, Chairman of the Global Journalists Council, stated:

- We sought to make a modest contribution to the diplomatic efforts of our two countries by strengthening the historical ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye through media diplomacy. We are confident that this event and our meetings will make a significant contribution to enhancing unity between our two brotherly nations and the broader Turkic community. We extend our gratitude to all participants, our colleagues in Uzbekistan, the administration of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications, as well as all partners and organizations that supported this initiative.
