BUSAN, August 9 /Dunyo IA/. Jeong Jae-su, Mayor of the South Korean city of Busan, conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes through Dunyo IA on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s state independence:
- Assalamu alaikum! On behalf of all the residents of Busan, I sincerely congratulate Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of its independence.
Over the past 35 years, Uzbekistan, through tireless efforts and innovation, has become one of the key countries in Central Asia. I express my deep respect for the people of Uzbekistan, who, drawing on the glorious history of the Great Silk Road, are building a dynamic future.
Since establishing friendship and cooperation relations with Samarkand, the center of Eurasian civilization, in 2023, we have been building deep friendship and trust. We have held several high-level meetings and various cultural exchange events, while young people from both sides have been visiting each other in preparation for an even brighter shared future.
In addition, Busan is opening new avenues for cooperation with Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent. Soon, a delegation of Busan’s “Eurasian Expedition” will visit Tashkent and lay a solid foundation for further exchanges.
We hope that such cooperation between our cities will serve as a strong foundation for strengthening friendship and shared prosperity between Korea and Uzbekistan.
I wish eternal friendship between our two countries and Uzbekistan continued and limitless development. Once again, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the 35th anniversary of independence.
