AKTAU, October 12. /Dunyo IA/.   A working group of the Khokimiyat of the Khorezm region visited Aktau to conduct negotiations with Kazakh ports, trading companies, and business representatives aimed at expanding the export of Uzbek products to the market of Kazakhstan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

With the facilitation of the General Consulate, a meeting was held with the management of the Aktau and Kuryk international ports, where the delegation of Uzbekistan was presented with the terms and capabilities for the transit and export of products. The participants also familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the ports and their practical potential for organizing supply chains.

In the Mangystau region, delegation studied the operations of major wholesale and retail trade complexes and held meetings with Uzbek entrepreneurs operating in Kazakhstan, as well as local distributors.

Separate negotiations were conducted with Zamin Safarov, Director General of “Kazfruit” LLP, one of the region's largest suppliers. Parties agreed to expand contacts with exporters from the Khorezm region and to increase the supply of additional products. Delegation also studied the company’s experience in the field of wholesale trade.

Furthermore, regional representatives visited the major markets of Aktau, “Asars” and “Kok Bazar”, where they familiarized themselves with the logistics of Uzbek products and studied the seasonality of supplies, the factors influencing the final cost of goods and the trade regulations governing the local market.

During the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the Akimat of the Mangystau region, “Atameken” Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the local business community. Participants discussed the development of trade and economic ties and received detailed information regarding the export products of Uzbekistan.

One of the key agenda items was the establishment of a showroom in Aktau to showcase products from the Khorezm region. Taking into account the proposals from local businesses and the Akimat, the delegation inspected several potential commercial sites, which are currently being evaluated by the Khokimiyat of the region.

Parties also agreed to elaborate on the organization and promotion of trade fairs for the export products of the Khorezm region in Aktau.
