TOKYO, October 10. /Dunyo IA/.  With the assistance of the Embassy of our country, sales of Uzbek-manufactured confectionery products have commenced in the Japanese store chain “Natural Lawson”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This refers to chocolate marshmallows under the “Puffi Chocomallow” brand, which is offered to Japanese consumers by one of the country's largest retail chains. Natural Lawson is a specialized format of LAWSON focused on natural, high-quality and eco-friendly premium products, including health and beauty goods.

According to the company, LAWSON operates more than 25,000 stores worldwide, with over 15,000 located in Japan. The network employs approximately 100,000 personnel and “Natural Lawson” enforces strict requirements regarding product quality, safety, and supply chains.

Entry of the Uzbek product into the Japanese market was the result of business contacts organized by diplomats of Uzbekistan within the framework of the international food and beverage exhibition “Anuga Select Japan,” which took place in Tokyo on April 15–17, 2026. During the organized business meetings, “Puffi Chocomallow” and the Japanese trading company “VSP Co. Ltd.” agreed on the supply of chocolate marshmallows to Japan.

“VSP Co. Ltd.” has been operating in the food industry for about 20 years and specializes in the supply of food products and confectionery to the Japanese market. The company cooperates with major retail chains, including LAWSON, AEON, KALDI Coffee Farm, Shinanoya, Kinokuniya, Waismart, Okinawa San-A, Izumi, Halloday, Marukyu and Yamaya.

Commencement of sales in “Natural Lawson” opens up additional opportunities for promoting Uzbek food products abroad, strengthening the positioning of national brands and expanding the country's export potential.

Following the results of January–August 2026, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Japan amounted to $228.8 million, increasing by 10.7% compared to the same period last year, or by $22.2 million. The export of Uzbekistan to Japan reached $17.8 million, which is 83.1% more than the previous year.
