OSH, February 27. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan met with Uzbek students studying at Osh Technological University and Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During an open dialogue, representatives of the Uzbek diplomatic mission explained procedures for consular and legal assistance, registration with the consulate, and the recognition (nostrification) of degrees obtained abroad. Students were also briefed on new decrees and regulations in Uzbekistan, the priorities of state youth policy and emerging opportunities for young people.

Special attention was paid to protecting youth from the influence of destructive ideologies, religious extremism, and terrorism. In this regard, participants were provided with information regarding the activities of the Fatwa Center and call centers operating under the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan. The youth were urged to rely exclusively on official and scientifically grounded sources of information.

As a result of the meetings, agreements were reached with university leadership to regularly organize national celebrations, sports competitions and educational “roundtables” for Uzbek students throughout the year.
