CAIRO, February 24. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo with Moataz Sedky, General Director of one of Egypt’s leading tourism companies, “Travco Holidays”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the discussion, it was noted that Uzbekistan’s rich historical and spiritual heritage is attracting increasing interest among Egyptian tourists. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is not merely a leisure destination, but a country connected to the legacy of great scholars and thinkers such as Imam Bukhari, Ibn Sina and Al-Khwarizmi, reflecting the roots of Islamic civilization.

The parties highlighted the importance of establishing direct flights to strengthen tourism links. They also noted the potential to promote Uzbekistan in the Egyptian market under the concept “Journey to the Roots of Civilization” expand cooperation with academic and cultural circles, and develop specialized cultural tour packages.

According to the Egyptian side, a well-planned strategy and consistent collaboration could position Uzbekistan as one of the leading cultural and intellectual tourism centers in the region.
