Ministry of Foreign Affairs attend a special screening of the feature film “The Great Amir and Donna Maria”

• 101TASHKENT, June 15. /Dunyo IA/. “Renaissance” Cinema in the capital hosted a special screening of the feature film “The Great Amir and Donna Maria” for the officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and their family members, cinematic piece was produced upon the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan as part of the “Living History” historical film series, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The attendees of the screening noted that the events depicted in the film are not merely historical facts, but clear evidence of the profound role and influence our ancestors possessed in safeguarding global civilization and consolidating world peace.
The ministry officials, including young diplomats, emphasized that this cinematic work clearly demonstrates how modern Uzbekistan, drawing upon its rich historical heritage, presents a vivid example of cultural diplomacy on the international stage. They also noted that the film allowed them to further embrace their national identity and instilled a profound sense of pride in the nation's history. In their view, the regular hosting of such screenings plays an essential role in fostering patriotism among the younger generation.
After the conclusion of the film, copies of Amir Temur’s letters addressed to the rulers of Europe and Asia were presented to the audience. The high level of political skill and the culture of international communication reflected in these messages instilled a sense of pride among the diplomats for their Motherland and its historical heritage.
The film, produced in collaboration between the “Uzbekfilm” movie studio and the Turkish company “Kanguru”, was successfully screened not only in Uzbekistan but also in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, London, and Washington, where it received a wide positive response from the audience.
