World judo champion and Olympic gold medalist Diyora Keldiyorova elected to IJF Athletes’ Commission

TASHKENT, July 4. /Dunyo IA/. Diyora Keldiyorova, world judo champion and gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, has been elected as a member of the Athletes’ Commission of the International Judo Federation (IJF), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, a total of 20 judokas from various continents were nominated for membership in the commission. Five were nominated by the continental judo unions, and four others by the IJF Executive Committee.
Following the voting process, nine candidates were elected to the final composition of the IJF Athletes’ Commission. Among them are representatives from South Africa, Japan, Italy, Australia, Cuba, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, as well as our compatriot Diyora Keldiyorova.
The newly elected members of the commission will represent the interests of athletes and contribute to shaping the IJF’s sports policy during the 2025–2029 Olympic cycle.
