Uzbekistan to host AFC U-17 Asian Cup in 2027

TASHKENT, July 31. /Dunyo IA/. Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), at a meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, approved the host countries for the AFC Asian Cups across various age categories for the 2027–2029 period, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the decision, Uzbekistan will host the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2027. The tournament is scheduled to take place from May 12th to 29th, 2027.
According to the AFC, hosting rights were awarded to the Uzbekistan Football Association as part of the review of the youth tournaments calendar and the reallocation of competition hosts.
AFC Executive Committee also approved Japan as the host country for the 2028 AFC U-23 Asian Cup. This tournament will serve as the Asian qualifying competition for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The 2029 AFC U-17 Asian Cup will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
It is worth recalling that the Uzbekistan national under-17 football team became the champions of Asia in 2025, clinching this title for the second time in the country's history.
