CAIRO, July 30. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan have met with representatives of one of the leading Egyptian construction and engineering companies, “Friends for Engineering & Contracting” - Commercial Director Muhammad Sultan and Business Development Manager Wael Abu Bakr, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, company representatives noted the large-scale socio-economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as the favourable investment climate created in the country. They emphasized their sincere interest in entering the Uzbek market, making foreign direct investments and introducing cutting-edge engineering and construction solutions.

Parties discussed prospects for cooperation in implementing projects for the construction of modern hotels, residential complexes, and infrastructure facilities across Uzbekistan. The company representatives proposed a mutually beneficial mechanism for project execution, under which the Uzbek side provides an appropriate land plot, while “Friends” undertakes the full design and construction cycle, as well as ensures project financing through its own investment resources.

Following the meeting, company representatives expressed their interest in organizing direct negotiations and virtual meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy of Uzbekistan, as well as khokimiyats of the regions and cities of the country to thoroughly discuss the proposed projects and prepare specific investment proposals.
