“El Mundo Financiero”: Agricultural reforms elevate the sector to a new level

MADRID, June 30. /Dunyo IA/.  Leading Spanish media outlet “El Mundo Financiero” has published an analytical report titled “The renewed agricultural system of New Uzbekistan serves the interests of farmers”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that large-scale work is being carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan to reform the agricultural sector. These changes are significant as they are aimed not only at increasing production volumes, but also at protecting the rights and interests of farmers, digitalizing the sector and widely introducing market mechanisms. It is emphasized that as a result of the new approach, agriculture is steadily transitioning from administrative management to an environment of economic freedom and competition.

Publication specifically highlights monumental achievements within the sphere of land relations. In particular, in accordance with the newly instituted procedures, absolute openness and transparency are ensured in the allocation of agricultural lands, complemented by the comprehensive implementation of an electronic auction system. This mechanism empowers farmers to exercise their land-use rights on strictly lawful and legally guaranteed foundations. Most critically, stringent restrictions have been established against the unsubstantiated termination of land lease agreements. Henceforth, the dissolution of land lease contracts is permitted exclusively by mutual consensus of the parties or via a definitive judicial ruling, thereby profoundly reinforcing the farmers' confidence in their future endeavours.

Furthermore, the report states that commencing from the 2026 harvest season, agricultural farms, agro-clusters, and other agribusiness organizations will independently designate the crop varieties cultivated on their land parcels via the “Agroportal” (unified “Digital Agriculture” integration platform). In doing so, the legacy practice of direct crop assignment by state authorities has been entirely abolished, superseded by a system of transparent data management operated through this centralized digital platform. Publication notes that the allocation of agricultural crops utilizing specialized digital networks significantly mitigates human factor intervention and renders the decision-making process inherently transparent, thereby cultivating optimal conditions for market-driven agricultural production.

Article concludes by noting that the Farmers' Council of Uzbekistan has engineered the “Fermer AI” Telegram bot - an advanced system powered by artificial intelligence designed to provide farmers with real-time, prompt advisory services to support their operational activities and cultivate highly favourable conditions. This innovative initiative effectively elevates the integration and application of cutting-edge digital technologies within the agricultural sector to a qualitatively new level.
