Egyptian Media: Environmental cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States advances to a new horizon

CAIRO, June 30. /Dunyo IA/. Prominent Egyptian publication “Sada El-Balad” has published an analytical report highlighting the strategic advancement of environmental cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States of America, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication emphasizes that climate change and ecological security constitute some of the most critical global challenges of the modern era. Within Uzbekistan, environmental policy and the development of a “green” economy have been designated as absolute national priorities, under which international cooperation - most notably with the United States is being actively expanded.

It is emphasized that the ecological dialogue between the two nations has intensified significantly in recent years. The Republic of Uzbekistan actively participates within the framework of the “C5+1” strategic diplomatic platform, specialized working groups on ecology and energy, as well as international institutional programs for the exchange of advanced expertise.

Particular distinction is accorded to scientific and academic cooperation, encompassing the foundational partnership established between Central Asian Green University in Tashkent and Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, alongside the active participation of Uzbek specialists in international professional development programs and high-level forums across the United States.

It is noted that sustainable forestry management, biodiversity conservation, ecological urban planning, and the advancement of 'green' infrastructure remain highly prospective sectors of cooperation, alongside the broader expansion of academic synergy with leading higher education institutions of the United States.

In conclusion, the publication underscores that the environmental dialogue between the two nations is steadily transitioning into a long-term strategic partnership, significantly contributing to the sustainable development of the entire region.
