Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk provided consular support to fellow citizens in Russia's Tomsk region

TOMSK, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk held a meeting with citizens currently held at the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Tomsk region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to information from the center's management, the citizens were placed there due to violations of the permitted stay duration, procedures for labour contracts and patents, as well as failure to comply with migration registration rules.
During the meeting, compatriots expressed their gratitude for the attention shown by the consulate and reported that the living conditions at the facility were satisfactory.
The return of two Uzbek citizens to their homeland is scheduled for the near future and six more individuals will be repatriated as soon as possible.
During the visit, an off-site consular reception was also held for Uzbek citizens working in the Tomsk region. Issues of migration registration were reviewed, and several compatriots were issued passports and certificates of return.
The consulate representatives emphasized the importance of complying with the laws of the host country and urged citizens to seek consular assistance whenever difficulties arise. It was noted that constant interaction with the diplomatic mission helps prevent violations and ensures the prompt resolution of emerging issues.
