TULA, March 22. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan visited the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens in the Tula region of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, Consul General Mehriddin Khairiddinov inspected the living conditions of Uzbek nationals and held a series of bilateral meetings with the Russian authorities.

With the leadership of the Temporary Detention Center and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, discussions were held on the prompt processing of documents and the expedited return of Uzbek citizens to their homeland.

Following the meetings, an agreement was reached to repatriate a number of Uzbek nationals who had been held for an extended period at the Tula Temporary Detention Center.

Additionally, during the meeting with the Uzbek nationals, the Consul General emphasized that supporting fellow citizens and providing them with necessary assistance remain among the priority tasks of the diplomatic mission. It was also highlighted that in Uzbekistan’s state policy, human dignity and the interests of citizens are considered of the highest value.
