DUSHANBE, August 5. /Dunyo IA/. Information Agency of Tajikistan “Avesta” has published an article titled “Uzbekistan adopts the language of International Law and becomes part of the Global Financial System”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Author of the publication notes that the adoption of the Constitutional Law represents an important stage in improving Uzbekistan’s legal system. It is emphasized that the document has a high legal status, providing long-term guarantees of legislative stability and protection of investors’ rights.
Article draws attention to the fact that, alongside the adoption of the law, amendments were introduced to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, as well as to a number of key codes and legislative acts. According to the author, this creates a strong regulatory and legal framework for the functioning of the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) within the country’s unified legal space.
Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that the activities of the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) will be based on the principles of English law and the principles of equity of England and Wales, which are widely applied by leading global financial centers. As the publication notes, this approach makes the jurisdiction clear and predictable for international banks, investment funds and transnational companies.
According to “Avesta”, one of the key institutions of the Centre will be the Tashkent International Commercial Court, whose independence is enshrined in legislation. The publication emphasizes that the possibility of attracting judges with an international reputation and the mandatory enforcement of court decisions on the territory of Uzbekistan will contribute to strengthening confidence among foreign investors.
Publication separately highlights the measures provided for by law to attract international specialists, including a simplified visa regime and the possibility of employing foreign experts without obtaining additional permits.
Summing up, the author of the article concludes that the establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) represents not only a large-scale economic project, but also a strategic step towards integrating Uzbekistan into the global financial system based on internationally recognized legal standards. According to the publication, the combination of constitutional guarantees, an independent judicial system, application of English law and long-term tax incentives creates a competitive platform for attracting long-term foreign investment.
