In Primorye, an online meeting held with citizens of Uzbekistan working in the Russian Far East

• 70VLADIVOSTOK, August 5. /Dunyo IA/. Consulate General of Uzbekistan organized an online meeting with fellow citizens temporarily residing and working in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the event, lawyers from Uzbekistan and Russia answered the questions of fellow citizens, explained the provisions of labour and migration legislation, the procedure for formalizing labour relations, protecting employees' rights, recovering wage arrears, resolving disputes with employers, as well as the actions of citizens in cases of violation of employment contract terms and other legal rights.
Special attention was paid to the practical mechanisms for obtaining qualified legal assistance, preventing potential legal risks and raising citizens' awareness of available methods for protecting their interests.
More than 60 citizens of Uzbekistan gathered at the venue of the Consulate General in Vladivostok, as well as a group of fellow citizens who connected from the Magadan Oblast, took part in the video conference. This format allowed for expanding the geographical reach of the event and providing targeted advisory assistance to citizens working in various regions of the Russian Far East.
Representatives of the Uzbek diaspora also took an active part in the event, assisting in informing and engaging fellow citizens, and highlighting the most pressing issues of concern to the citizens.
Their participation contributed to strengthening cooperation between the consular office, the legal community, and citizens of Uzbekistan residing in the regions of the Far East.
Participants noted the open and constructive nature of the dialogue, the practical orientation of the consultations provided, and the opportunity to receive clarifications directly from representatives of the legal community of the two countries.
