JAKARTA, February 5. /Dunyo IA/.  Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Uzbek company “BMB Holding” held talks in Jakarta with the management of several leading Indonesian companies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, discussions focused on the implementation of joint investment projects, the processing of agricultural products and the establishment of mutually beneficial trade relations.

With Wiyanto Allamshoh, President Director of PT “Arena Agro Andalan” (AAA), a company specializing in agricultural processing, talks centered on the processing of agricultural products, production of glass containers, packaging and the export of fruits and vegetables to Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a working visit of the Indonesian entrepreneur to Uzbekistan and to develop joint projects by analyzing the country’s existing potential and opportunities.

In a separate meeting with Farhan Kurnia Mayendri, Co-Founder and President Director of Vortech Corp FZCO and Jay Abdullah Alatas, Chairman of PT “Hikmah Albros”, discussions focused on establishing cooperation, implementing investment projects in Uzbekistan, exporting Uzbek products to the Indonesian market and increasing bilateral trade turnover.

As a result of the meetings, a preliminary agreement was reached on the implementation of an investment project in the Jizzakh Free Economic Zone with “Hikmah Albros”. Under the plan, a facility specializing in food production is to be established in the Jizzakh region.

Discussions with the President of “Vortech Corp FZCO” focused on cooperation in agricultural processing and the establishment of an Uzbek national cuisine restaurant in Jakarta under the brand “BMB Za’faron Premium”.

With Adhi Lukman, Chairman of the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI), talks addressed the supply of Uzbek agricultural products, the expansion of export volumes and the development of sustainable and competitive logistics routes and transport corridors between the two countries.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached to expand cooperation between business entities and to organize visits of Indonesian entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan.
