ORSHA, August 5. /Dunyo IA/.  On the night of August 4^th, the second cargo train within the “Slavic Caravan” project was dispatched from the Orsha-Vostochnaya station of the Belarusian Railway along the “Belarus–Russia–Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan” route, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press center of the Belarusian Railway, the train is loaded with 4,000 tons of woodworking products and foodstuffs. The products are supplied not only to Uzbekistan but also to neighbouring Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Currently, the first cargo caravan, which departed on July 30^th, has already travelled 2,500 kilometers out of 4,000 kilometers and is moving through the territory of Kazakhstan.

According to Belarusian Railway officials, the implementation of the project will create favourable opportunities for opening other markets in Central and Southern Asia through Uzbekistan.

As a reminder, the launch of the first cargo train took place within the framework of implementing the agreements reached on July 8–9^th during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Belarus.
