MINSK, August 1. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Uzbekistan's Bukhara Region, led by khokim Botir Zaripov, met with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko, reports Dunyo correspondent.

In line with the agreements reached during the Uzbekistan–Belarus summit held in Minsk in early July, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan remains a reliable and longstanding partner for Belarus. Bilateral trade continues to demonstrate strong momentum, with the two countries aiming to increase trade turnover to USD 1 billion this year and USD 2 billion by 2030.

The sides noted that cooperation has been established across a wide range of sectors at both the governmental and agency levels, while interregional ties are gaining new momentum following the Third Forum of Regions. The current priority is to ensure tangible results from joint projects in the textile industry, agriculture, and mechanical engineering.

Following the talks, the parties agreed on practical measures to implement the reached agreements on a mutually beneficial basis.
