Chinese company expresses readiness to expand participation in Infrastructure Projects of Uzbekistan

SHANGHAI, August 15. /Dunyo IA/. General Consulate of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Director General of “China Railway Prefabricated Construction” (CRPC), Wang Ping, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of construction and infrastructure were discussed.
According to Wang Ping, the economy of Uzbekistan has been actively developing in recent years and the volume of investments is constantly growing. The construction industry is becoming one of the critical drivers of the country's economic development.
Particular attention was paid to major infrastructure projects, including the construction of the “New Tashkent” city, which encompasses the spheres of heat supply, transport, medicine, education and housing construction.
Head of the company noted that CRPC participates in the implementation of the historic project for the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, supplying steel and metal structures for the construction.
He also expressed readiness to implement projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of housing construction, railways, highways, tourism facilities, locomotive maintenance, railway electrification and the production of eco-friendly building materials.
Following the meeting, CRPC agreed to dispatch a delegation to Uzbekistan in early September to discuss the further expansion of cooperation with the Uzbek side.
