This date embodies our people's high respect for peace, dignity, and human memory. It serves to commemorate our ancestors who showed courage and fortitude during the war years, to honour our veterans and to appreciate their invaluable services.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, in this regard, today the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country visited the Victory Park in our capital.
As part of the event, the participants laid wreaths at the foot of the “Ode to Fortitude” monument, paying tribute to the memory of our compatriots who perished in the Second World War.
During the ceremony, particular emphasis was placed on the courage of the war and labour front participants, the selfless work of our people, and the fact that peace and stability are invaluable blessings.
Furthermore, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also laid wreaths at the foot of the “Mourning Mother” monument in Independence Square.
