Works of artists from Uzbekistan presented at the Almaty exhibition

ALMATY, August 18. /Dunyo IA/.  Gallery of the Association of Museums of Almaty hosted the international exhibition “From Realism to Contemporary Artistic Experiments” with the participation of artists from Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Exhibition was organized with the assistance of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Almaty, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan.

Exposition includes 63 works by 40 authors from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Kokand, Andijan, Jizzakh, Nukus, Angren, Bekabad and other regions of Uzbekistan.

Exhibition demonstrated the diversity of Uzbekistan’s contemporary fine arts - ranging from traditional realistic movements to modern artistic experiments. Visitors are presented with paintings executed in various genres and artistic styles.

Initiative is aimed at the mutual presentation of the rich cultural heritage and contemporary creative potential of the two nations, creating a foundation for new joint artistic projects, as well as further strengthening friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
