Norwegian Tour Operator Invites Travelers to Discover the Treasures of the Silk Road in Uzbekistan

OSLO, August 16. /Dunyo IA/. Norwegian tour operator “Elite Travel” has launched a special travel program, “Treasures of the Silk Road” (Silkeveiens skatter), focused on exploring Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The itinerary covers Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, offering travelers an opportunity to discover a blend of ancient and modern architecture, renowned mosques and madrasas, historical monuments from the Great Silk Road era, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The program also highlights Uzbek traditions and cuisine. Travelers will visit a local family, take part in preparing traditional dishes, explore Tashkent’s famous Chorsu Bazaar and experience the hospitality and everyday life of the Uzbek people.
International journalist Morten Strand will lead the tour and give lectures, adding an educational element to the journey.
The launch of specialized tourism programs dedicated to Uzbekistan reflects growing interest among Scandinavian travelers in the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
Over the past three years, the number of Norwegian tourists visiting Uzbekistan has increased 3.6 times.
