TOKYO, August 15. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of our country hosted a meeting with Masako Nakaishi, Principal of “Seikyo Gakuen Junior & Senior High School” located in Osaka Prefecture of Japan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the organization and expansion of educational and study trips for Japanese schoolchildren to Uzbekistan, the outcomes of the inaugural visit undertaken in 2025, the impressions of its participants, as well as the prospects for further cooperation in this area.

From March 19^th to 25^th, 2025, approximately 50 students from “Seikyo Gakuen” School, accompanied by their teachers, visited Tashkent and Samarkand as part of a historical, cultural, and educational program. During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the historical heritage, architecture, urban culture, national traditions and cuisine of Uzbekistan, as well as to hold meetings and engage with their peers.

During the meeting, Masako Nakaishi informed that following the visit, a special illustrated publication about the trip entitled “School Trip to Uzbekistan” was issued. According to her, following the dissemination of this publication, a number of schools in Osaka Prefecture expressed great interest in the possibility of organizing educational trips to Uzbekistan. Furthermore, a survey conducted among students and parents in preparation for overseas trips for the next academic year revealed a substantial number of proposals to select Uzbekistan as a destination. Overseas educational trips in Japan represent an important component of the educational and upbringing process.

According to the Ministry of Education of Japan, in the 2023 academic year, 66,618 students from 709 schools travelled to 29 countries around the world. These indicators demonstrate a significant demand for school tourism in Japan and open new opportunities for the development of this sector in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, it was also noted that “Seikyo Gakuen” School has already commenced preparations for the next visit of a student group to Uzbekistan in March 2027. Furthermore, an agreement was reached to hold a special presentation and an interactive seminar dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan at the school in Osaka in October 2026.
