RIYADH, September 16. /Dunyo IA/.   An article headlined “Centre for Contemporary Arts Tashkent Opens in Tashkent” has been published on the portal of the “OIC States Broadcasting Union”, the Union of Information Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

A ceremony was held in the capital of Uzbekistan to open the Centre for Contemporary Arts Tashkent, established at the initiative of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Centre features specialized facilities, including exhibition halls, a library, a restaurant, meeting and conference rooms, as well as dedicated spaces for research and creative work.

Centre for Contemporary Arts Tashkent is intended to become a new platform for art exhibitions, the implementation of educational and research programmes, the organization of events in the field of international cultural cooperation, and other cultural projects.

Centre is one of the significant projects of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and is expected to play an important role in supporting artistic and cultural activities in the country, as well as further expanding opportunities for international cultural cooperation.
