ISLAMABAD, August 12. /Dunyo IA/.  A delegation of Pakistan's “Aitchison College”, arriving in Uzbekistan to participate in training camps, visited the Center of Islamic Civilization, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Pakistani young athletes got acquainted with the modern capabilities of the center, its expositions and exhibits reflecting the centuries-old history and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

Guests were briefed on the history of the center's establishment, the scientific and educational activities of prominent scholars and thinkers born on the territory of modern Uzbekistan and their contribution to the development of world civilization.

Particular attention was paid to the role of Maveraunnahri and the territory of modern Uzbekistan in the formation and development of Islamic civilization, as well as the development of science, education, and culture here over the centuries.

Following the visit, members of the Pakistani delegation highly praised the rich historical and scientific heritage of Uzbekistan. They showed particular interest in materials about the lives and activities of scholars and thinkers who made a significant contribution to the development of science, enlightenment and culture.
