KAZAN, September 16. /Dunyo IA/.  The last remaining citizen of Uzbekistan among the compatriots injured in the tragic incidents in Nizhnekamsk has been transported back to the homeland via a medical flight, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Citizen S.A.S., born in 2001, was initially treated in the intensive care unit of the Nizhnekamsk Central District Multi-Profile Hospital. Subsequently, with the assistance of the local authorities of Tatarstan, he was airlifted by helicopter to a specialized clinic in Kazan, where he underwent two complex surgeries.

Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, in cooperation with the Migration Agency, organized the necessary measures for the victim's rehabilitation and subsequent evacuation, while also providing essential consular, legal, and practical assistance.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of diplomats, representatives of “Uzbekistan Airways” and Migration Agency, the injured citizen, accompanied by medical personnel, was safely returned on a “Kazan–Tashkent” flight to undergo further treatment.

As a reminder, an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles on a number of facilities in Nizhnekamsk in August resulted in the death of 13 people and left 48 others injured. Citizens of Uzbekistan were also among the victims of the incident and the bodies of eight compatriots were repatriated to their homeland via a special flight.
