35th Anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan celebrated in the German town of Rust

• 76RUST, September 16. /Dunyo IA/. A festive event was held in the town of Rust, Baden-Württemberg, to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan, featuring the traditional Independence Cup football tournament, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main, “Europa-Park” and “Consulting.uz”. It brought together over 200 citizens of Uzbekistan living and working in Germany, alongside representatives of German business and public circles.
Particular attention was focused on strengthening the unity of Uzbek youth in Germany, developing interaction with German partners, and informing compatriots about the large-scale transformations underway in Uzbekistan.
During the meetings, youth policy, access to quality education, sports development, job creation and opportunities for professional realization were discussed. Particular consideration was given to the issues of employment and training for citizens of Uzbekistan in Germany, including through direct cooperation with German companies.
“Europa-Park” Co-owner Jürgen Mack congratulated the participants on the anniversary of independence and noted the high level of cooperation with the Consulate General. He emphasized that hosting events for Uzbek compatriots within the park is becoming a fine tradition and contributes to the strengthening of friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Germany.
A vibrant highlight of the program was a football tournament featuring 10 teams from Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Stuttgart, Freiburg and other German cities. The team of compatriots from Freiburg emerged as the winner and was awarded the “Europa-Park” Football Cup.
Guests were also treated to traditional Uzbek plov, which served as one of the symbols of national unity and hospitality.
