Ambassador of Uzbekistan and Chairperson of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly of Belarus discussed ways to accelerate the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects

MINSK, August 30. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Mamajonov, met with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed matters regarding the effective implementation of a number of critical projects in key areas of bilateral cooperation.
Natalya Kochanova, noting the strategic nature and friendly atmosphere of relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan, emphasized with satisfaction that inter-parliamentary ties are actively developing on both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
Parties noted the dynamic development of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, as well as in the fields of education, healthcare, youth policy, and cultural and humanitarian interaction.
“Historic visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Belarus on July 8–9th and the Declaration on Strategic Partnership adopted following its outcomes have created a new atmosphere in bilateral relations and require a new approach to implementing the tasks set by the heads of our states”, emphasized the Chairperson of the Council of Belarus.
In this regard, active and thorough preparations are underway for the Uzbekistan-Belarus Inter-Parliamentary Forum, which is scheduled to take place on September 29–30th in the city of Khiva. It was particularly noted that the Belarusian delegation, along with government representatives and heads of several regions, will include prominent entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, ensuring the effective implementation of all agreements reached was defined as the primary goal of the parties for the near future.
