MOSCOW, August 30. /Dunyo IA/.  Twelve minor citizens of the Republic who were left without parental care or found themselves in difficult social circumstances in various regions of Russia have been returned to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Humanitarian action was carried out in close cooperation between representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Health and the National Social Protection Agency.

Eight children were returned from Moscow Oblast; and one each from the Chuvash Republic, city of Moscow, Novosibirsk Oblast and Tula Oblast.

During the preparation and organization of their repatriation, responsible officials from the ministries and agencies successfully resolved matters regarding the identification of the children, processing of the necessary documents for their return to Uzbekistan, completion of comprehensive medical examinations, as well as other organizational issues.

Systematic measures carried out by the Embassy and partner organizations in this field contribute to the reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens of Uzbekistan, particularly minors, as well as to ensuring their targeted social protection.

During the first eight months of 2026, a total of 38 minor citizens of Uzbekistan, who were left without parental care or found themselves in difficult social circumstances, have been returned to their homeland from various regions of Russia.

Currently, efforts in this direction are consistently underway. The preparation of the necessary documents for the return of an additional 22 minor citizens of the Republic to Uzbekistan is in progress.
