ASHGABAT, June 16. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov has met with the Governor of the Ahal Velayat of Turkmenistan Toyguly Normuradov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the conversation, the sides reviewed key issues of developing trade, economic and investment cooperation.

It was particularly noted that the friendly and trusting dialogue between the leaders of the two states serves as the driving force of interstate relations.

During the meeting, issues regarding the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation between the City of Tashkent and the Ahal Velayat, signed on November 17^th, 2025, were also discussed. The sides emphasized the need to substantiate this document with concrete projects in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed preparations for the business mission of Uzbek entrepreneurs, which is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on June 22–24^th of this year.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on establishing direct contacts between enterprises, intensifying cooperation in the agricultural sector, developing technology exchange, and implementing specialist training programs.

Following the meetings, the sides agreed to continue joint work across all discussed areas.
