ANKARA, March 16. /Dunyo IA/. During a meeting of the General Assembly of the International Eurasian Federation of Metalworkers’ Unions (IEFM) in Ankara, elections were held for the organization's governing bodies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Turajon Raupov, a member of the Uzbekistan delegation, was elected as the Deputy Secretary General of the organization.
The International Eurasian Federation of Metalworkers’ Unions was established in 1994 and currently brings together 63 trade unions from 20 countries, representing over 10 million workers in the metallurgical industry. The organization stands as one of the most influential trade union structures both regionally and on the international stage.
Established ties with counterpart organizations in Uzbekistan, including the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan, facilitate the advancement of bilateral cooperation and the exchange of best practices.
The election of Turajon Raupov to this leadership position serves as a testament to the recognition of the professionalism and significant contributions of Uzbek specialists within international trade union frameworks.
