TASHKENT, April 7. /Dunyo IA/. In 2025, 1,159 people moved to Uzbekistan from foreign countries for permanent residency, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan, the largest shares of immigrants arrived from:
Russia — 39.9%,
Kazakhstan — 20.3%,
Tajikistan — 10.3%,
Kyrgyzstan — 4.3%,
Turkmenistan — 3.1%,
Other countries — 22.1%.
By region, the arrivals chose Tashkent (698 people), Tashkent region (275), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (101), Syrdarya region (24), Fergana region (14), Jizzakh region (12), Navoi region (12), Bukhara region (11), Khorezm region (7), Kashkadarya region (2), Samarkand region (2) and Namangan region (1).
The steady influx of foreign nationals choosing Uzbekistan for permanent residency reflects the country's growing appeal as a space for living and working. It also highlights Uzbekistan’s increasing migratory attractiveness and the socio-economic stability of the state.
