Uzbekistan and Malaysia explore opportunities to increase exports from Fergana region

• 50KUALA LUMPUR, January 20. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of Uzbekistan have met with the management of “KK Super Mart”, one of Malaysia’s largest retail chains, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The meeting was attended by Sherzod Yuldashev, Head of the Territorial Administration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Ferghana region; Azimjon Yuldashev, Deputy Head of the Investment, Industry and Trade Department of the Fergana Region as well as representatives of relevant government agencies and the business community.
The sides discussed expanding the range of imported goods, logistics arrangements and product placement formats within the retail chain. Particular attention was given to products showcased at the Fergana Trade House in Singapore.
As a result of the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached to sell Fergana products in “KK Super Mart” stores, opening new export opportunities for regional producers and allowing them to expand their presence in Southeast Asian markets.
