A high-level delegation from India participates in the International Exhibition of Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals in Tashkent

NEW DELHI, May 21. /Dunyo IA/. More than 80 Indian pharmaceutical companies and medical technology manufacturers are participating in the “MedTech Eurasia” exhibition, which opened on May 20th in Tashkent as a key event in the field of medical technologies and pharmaceuticals in Central Asia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, organized at the “Tashkent Pharma Park” innovation cluster, was jointly led by Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and Smita Pant, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, symbolizing the mutual interest of the two countries in deepening cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
The head of the Indian diplomatic mission noted that the participation of a large delegation of Indian companies in this important event is a clear example of bilateral relations transitioning from simple trade to a deep technological partnership.
India, known as the “pharmacy of the world”, is ready to share its expertise in manufacturing high-quality, affordable medicines and modern medical devices, the diplomat stated.
The unified Indian pavilion showcases the latest achievements in generic and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, surgical instruments and medical disposables, diagnostic equipment and laboratory machinery, as well as digital healthcare solutions.
“MedTech Eurasia” exhibition is taking place against the backdrop of an active phase in the implementation of joint projects. Uzbekistan is carrying out reforms to localize drug production, and Indian businesses view our country as a 'gateway' to the markets of Central Asia and the CIS.
Participation in this event opens up access for Indian companies to public-private partnership mechanisms in Uzbekistan and preferences within industrial pharmaceutical parks.
