ТАSHKENT, July 22. /Dunyo IA/.   Today, in the city of Nurafshan, the Head of State reviewed the conditions at the new Social Protection Complex of the National Agency for Social Protection, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, systematic measures are being implemented nationwide to strengthen social protection, expand the range of public social services available to citizens, and increase their coverage.

Social Protection Complex, the first of its kind in Tashkent region, provides comprehensive services to the most vulnerable groups of the population under the “one-stop shop” principle.

Complex houses five institutions: the Tashkent Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, the Territorial Social Inspectorate, the Nurafshan City “Inson” Social Services Center, the Medical and Social Expert Commission, and the Regional Social Services Center.

Thanks to the establishment of the complex, approximately 10,000 residents of Nurafshan, as well as those in the nearby Urtachirchik, Pskent, Akkurgan, and Buka districts, will receive social services annually.

Around 100 employees will work here, assisting citizens in need of social protection with their full and independent social adaptation.

In addition, based on citizens’ individual needs, the Territorial Social Services Center has arranged for the provision of five types of social services, making extensive use of the capabilities of the non-governmental sector.

As a result, people with disabilities who have been housebound for many years, citizens in need of assistance with daily care, and children with disabilities will be integrated into society.

Head of State was also presented with an AI-based method for diagnosing persons with disabilities, as well as new mechanisms for social workers’ work in mahallas, developed based on the experience of Tashkent region.

While reviewing conditions at the Social Protection Complex, the President emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups, facilitating their full social integration, and helping them maintain a positive outlook on life are priorities of state policy.

President then met with the “Inson” volunteer team of the National Agency for Social Protection in Tashkent region and reviewed the projects they are implementing. Approving the complex’s activities, the Head of State instructed that the number of similar territorial social services centers across the country be tripled.

It should be noted that the number of regional social services centers in the country is planned to increase to at least 90, expanding opportunities. In particular, new centers are planned to be established in districts with a high number of residents in need of social protection, as well as in locations with convenient transportation links to ensure unhindered access for citizens.
