SAMARKAND, September 22. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan-1 national team defeated the Indian team with a score of 2.5-1.5 in the sixth round of the 46^th World Chess Olympiad, strengthening its leadership in the tournament standings, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Central match of the round took place under conditions of high psychological tension, as both teams were considered top contenders for the highest positions.

Games on the first three boards ended in draws. Nodirbek Abdusattorov split points with Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, Javokhir Sindarov drew with Arjun Erigaisi, and Shamsiddin Vokhidov tied his game against the reigning World Chess Champion Gukesh Dommaraju.

Outcome of the team match was decided in the game between Nodirbek Yakubboev and Nihal Sarin. Yakubboev gradually increased his positional advantage and, by the 38^th move, created a favorable position, subsequently securing victory and bringing the decisive point to the national team.

As a result, Uzbekistan-1 accumulated 12 points, consolidating its lead in the overall standings. In another crucial match of the sixth round, China defeated Germany with a score of 3-1.

Victory over India was particularly significant for the Uzbek team, given that three games ended in draws and the outcome of the confrontation was determined on the fourth board.

In the seventh round, Uzbekistan-1 will face the Chinese national team, which is also among the team's main rivals in the race for the top positions.
