A number of leading Egyptian media outlets have published analytical articles focusing on Uzbekistan’s economic connectivity ahead of the upcoming Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku, as well as reforms aimed at strengthening the status of teachers, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In a publication, Al Diplomacy notes that Uzbekistan is reshaping its economic position on the map of Asia, viewing its geography not as a limitation but as an opportunity to build bridges for trade, investment and industry.

The article highlights that in the first half of 2026, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and Afghanistan accounted for nearly 53% of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade, while exports increased by 32% in January-June, reaching $14.4 billion. The publication also emphasizes the role of transport corridors, Caspian Sea ports and cooperation within the CIS. It notes that the first CICA Financial Summit, held in Astana, added a financial dimension to the organization’s connectivity agenda.

Alawstelalamianews focused on the upcoming seventh CICA Summit, which will be held on October 15, 2026, in Baku under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship. The publication notes that expanding Uzbekistan’s exports and industrial cooperation requires reliable logistics and predictable conditions in international markets. It also cites the growth in trade between Uzbekistan and CIS countries from $11.8 billion in 2020 to $28.1 billion in 2025, while highlighting the activities of the Termez Dialogue and the CICA Business Council.

Eldameer also addressed the upcoming CICA Summit in Baku, publishing an article on the importance of expanding Uzbekistan’s exports and industrial cooperation as the country seeks to enter new markets. The publication emphasizes the importance of reliable logistics, access to financial resources and stable conditions in international markets, as well as the role of multilateral platforms in implementing joint projects and increasing domestic value added.

Another Al Diplomacy article focused on Uzbekistan’s celebration of Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day, observed annually on October 1. The article highlights the Law “On the Status of Teachers,” adopted in February 2024, which protects teachers from duties unrelated to their profession, as well as the new national “Teacher of the Year” competition, which attracted more than 46,000 educators.

The publication also cites the Uzbek proverb “Ustoz otangdek ulug‘” (“A teacher is as revered as a father”) as a reflection of the deep cultural roots of respect for the teaching profession in Uzbekistan.
