ISLAMABAD, January 7. /Dunyo IA/. Leading Pakistani media widely covered the content of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Among the outlets reporting were “DNA News”, “Pakistan Today”, “The World News”, “Margalla Tribune”, “Media Online Today”, “Daily Sub News”, “The Gulf Observer”, “The Europe Today”, “News Network Pakistan” and the “Islamabad Post”, all publishing an article by Eldor Aripov, Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The reports highlighted that over the past decade, Uzbekistan’s economy has undergone rapid qualitative and systemic modernization. In the mid-2010s, the country’s nominal GDP was approximately $60–65 billion, whereas today, as noted in the Address, it has reached $145 billion. This represents an unprecedented expansion of the economy in a historically short period.

A comparison of economic dynamics over the past ten years allows for an important strategic conclusion: Uzbekistan is approaching a stage where future development will be determined not by the size of the economy, but by its quality. Accordingly, the Address emphasized the importance of increasing labor productivity, technological modernization, and deeper industrialization.

Compared to a decade ago, the economy has become larger, more diversified, and more resilient, creating a long-term strategic foundation for improving citizens’ well-being and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the regional and global economy.

Pakistani media also highlighted that a key feature of the Address is the strong connection between the state and its citizens, particularly how reforms are aligned with the real needs of the population.
