SAINT PETERSBURG, October 6. /Dunyo IA/.  A walking quest titled “Petersburg Code: Reboot”, organized by the Youth Union of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Consulate General, was held in the historical center of Saint Petersburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by students who were divided into three teams. To avoid crowding at the monuments and to make the competition dynamic, the organizers utilized a single-chain scheme - all groups visited the same four locations but started from different points and moved according to individual schedules.

Route, spanning approximately five kilometers, covered the city's main landmarks, including St. Isaac's Cathedral, Senate Square with the Bronze Horseman, Kazan Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Each team received a unique name linked to the architecture of St. Petersburg and its own pool of creative and historical assignments. For instance, “Nevsky Navigators” studied the complexities of the construction of St. Isaac's Cathedral and its operation during the siege years, “Bronze Guards” delved into the symbolism of the monument to Peter I and “Golden Domes” team performed tasks on optical illusions near the colonnade of Kazan Cathedral.

Active part of the quest concluded at the building of the Consulate General, where a final program was arranged for the students, commencing with an intellectual blitz quiz. The host posed questions regarding hidden historical facts that the teams had discovered along their routes, encouraging the participants to actively share their knowledge. Following the quiz, a traditional Uzbek tea party was organized for the participants, featuring hot green tea, samsa, national sweets and dried fruits.

Within the framework of the official reception, officials from the Consulate General delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural ties and national friendship. The culmination of the evening was the award ceremony, conducted by the event coordinator, Mohinur Komolova. Commemorative gifts were distributed across four categories - for the best knowledge in the quiz, the most creative photographs, the speed of completing the route and the best team spirit. The meeting concluded with a group photo session. The completed quest demonstrated that combining urban activity with an informal reception at the diplomatic mission serves as an excellent operational tool for supporting and uniting the student diaspora.
