МOSCOW, February 2. /Dunyo IA/.  A vivid and informative showcase of Uzbekistan’s tourism and cultural potential was presented at “Domodedovo” International Airport in Moscow, displayed on 120 advertising monitors located in the check-in areas and departure lounges, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The video presentations, running around the clock, introduce millions of travellers from around the world as well as residents of Russia, to Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, unique architecture and attractions that make the country a standout destination for tourists.

Thanks to these vibrant promotional campaigns, Uzbekistan has successfully entered the TOP 10 most popular travel destinations among Russian tourists, drawn by the country’s ancient history and cultural wealth.

In 2025, the number of Russian visitors increased by 15%, reaching 984,400 trips, reflecting growing interest in Uzbekistan’s tourist attractions and opportunities. Russian travellers traditionally rank fourth in terms of visitor numbers, after tourists from neighbouring Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

It is worth noting that “Domodedovo” International Airport is one of Moscow’s largest and busiest airports, handling over 14 million passengers annually, making it a key platform for promoting Uzbekistan as a premier tourist destination.
