Uzbekistan and Egypt keen to develop practical cooperation in agriculture and livestock

CAIRO, August 30. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of Uzbekistan discussed with Adel Abdelazeem, President of the Agricultural Research Center of Egypt, preparations for the visit of an Uzbek working group to Egypt scheduled for the second half of September, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, parties reviewed organizational aspects of the upcoming visit and the exchange of experience in the fields of agriculture, livestock farming, and desert land reclamation.
Egyptian side expressed readiness to present its experience in livestock development, the creation of a fodder base, pasture management, and the agricultural utilization of desert territories, including the application of “pivot” center-pivot irrigation systems.
Implementation of joint projects, the conduct of scientific research and the development of new varieties of agricultural crops and fodder were also discussed.
