TASHKENT, August 30. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Won Do Yeon, who took part in the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of our country’s independence, congratulated the people of Uzbekistan in an interview with Dunyo IA:
— First of all, I would like to congratulate the government and people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of independence. I wish Uzbekistan peace, prosperity, continued success, and further development and progress in the years ahead.
I am also very pleased that the first-ever “Republic of Korea – Central Asia” Summit will soon take place in Korea, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also make a state visit to our country on this occasion.
A lot of good cooperation is going on between two countries, and there will be a lot of very important deliverables and outcomes. I am sure that everybody will be very satisfied.
The reason our two states are getting so close is that the Korean government really appreciates the special reform and liberalization efforts led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Because of this, we have a lot of businessmen who want to come to Uzbekistan and invest in the country.
I am sure that the upcoming summit will be an important milestone for our future cooperation.
