Uzbekistan and Israel explore potential avenues for bilateral cooperation in the jewellery industry

TEL AVIV, February 25. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel with Gadi Hertel, Director of the Israel Jewellery Association, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The parties discussed prospects for establishing a long-term strategic partnership in the jewellery and precious metals sector, with particular emphasis on combining Uzbekistan’s raw material potential with Israel’s technological and educational expertise.

The Israeli side noted that it is closely monitoring developments in Uzbekistan’s jewellery industry. “We see that systematic and well-considered reforms are being implemented to develop the sector, enhance its transparency, and increase its investment attractiveness. This is a correct and timely course”, - he remarked.

According to him, the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev create favourable conditions for building a modern jewellery industry in Uzbekistan with high added value.

Among the areas of cooperation discussed were the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Jewellery in Tashkent based on the Israeli educational model, the exchange of specialists and the organization of visits by Israeli jewellery delegations to international exhibitions in Uzbekistan, as well as other related matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing a sustainable partnership capable of elevating bilateral cooperation in the jewellery sector to a new qualitative level.
