Danish TV star discovers Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage

COPENHAGEN, February 25. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan’s national pavilion at the “Danish Travel Show – Ferie For Alle 2026” has attracted significant attention from Scandinavian and international participants, including prominent actors and cultural figures, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Melvin Kakooza, a popular Danish actor, showman and TV presenter, showed a particular interest in the pavilion. He carefully explored the displayed photographs and videos, images of historical monuments and examples of Uzbekistan’s traditional crafts.

Born on October 12, 1991, in Uganda, Kakooza gained widespread recognition in Denmark through comedic television projects such as “Sunday” and “Helt Sort”, as well as the series “Perfekte Steder”. His popularity is further enhanced by stand-up performances and TV appearances and he has around 550,000 followers on Instagram.

During a friendly conversation with members of the Uzbek delegation, Kakooza expressed that the centuries-old history and rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan made a profound impression on him. He showed particular interest in the architectural ensembles of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara, the history of the Great Silk Road and the country’s significant role in the development of Eastern civilization. The actor highlighted Uzbekistan’s growing popularity as a tourist destination and expressed his desire to visit the country.
