Uzbekistan and Poland plan to jointly publish books and organize exhibitions based on archival materials

WARSAW, June 29. /Dunyo IA/.   At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, an online meeting was held between representatives of the Uzarchive Agency and the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) of Poland, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, expressing mutual interest in expanding collaboration in the preservation, restoration, and digitization of historical documents, as well as in the development of joint research activities.

Representatives of the Institute of National Remembrance presented their experience in implementing international research projects, along with books and collections of archival documents published under such initiatives. Polish side confirmed its readiness to implement joint publishing projects with Uzbekistan’s archival institutions.

In turn, the Uzarchive Agency proposed launching a joint research project entitled “Uzbeks in Polish Archives and Poles in the Archives of Uzbekistan”, which envisages the preparation of an illustrated book-album and the organization of traveling exhibitions.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue and develop practical mechanisms for implementing the proposed initiatives.
