Pakistani enterprise outlines plans for a major livestock development complex in the Tashkent Region

TASHKENT, June 25. /Dunyo IA/.  A delegation led by Dur Muhammad Ayub, Head of the Pakistani company “Go Dairy (Private) Limited” - a subsidiary of the prominent “Go Group” conglomerate has arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit organized with the facilitation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, representatives of the Pakistani company held talks with the Governor (Khokim) of the Tashkent Region, Zoyir Mirzaev.

Meeting focused on the prospects for bilateral cooperation in agriculture, livestock breeding, food industry, as well as initiatives to enhance export potential.

Zoyir Mirzaev briefed the delegation on the economic potential of the Tashkent Region, ongoing structural reforms in the agricultural and livestock sectors, the favorable environment established for investors and major investment projects currently underway.

In particular, it was noted that special attention is being paid in the region to establishing modern agricultural clusters, developing the production of export-oriented goods, expanding the processing industry and creating high-value-added supply chains.

Head of the Pakistani delegation Dur Muhammad Ayub, elaborated on the activities of “Go Group” and its planned projects in Uzbekistan. It was noted that the company intends to implement a project in Uzbekistan to establish a full-cycle livestock complex, which encompasses pedigree breeding, livestock fattening, feed production, slaughtering and product processing.

“Within the framework of the project's first phase, it is planned to establish a modern livestock complex designed for 20,000 to 30,000 head of cattle, as well as export-oriented chilled and deep-freeze warehouses and product packaging infrastructure, -noted Dur Muhammad Ayub. - Our company views Uzbekistan as an essential logistical hub for supplying products to the markets of the Gulf countries, the CIS states, and China”.

During the negotiations, the parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation in potato and vegetable processing, packaging, seed production, and research and development activities.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed on the practical implementation of cooperation, the joint development of investment projects, and the establishment of a long-term partnership in the agricultural sector.

As part of the visit itinerary, the company representatives toured the Yangiyul, Kibray, Yukorichirchik and Bostanlyk districts, where they familiarized themselves with the operations of local livestock farms, agricultural clusters and potential investment sites.
