MOSCOW, September 24. /Dunyo IA/. Russia and Uzbekistan have signed a cooperation program on combating corruption for 2027–2028 following talks between Director of Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhanov and Prosecutor General of Russia Alexander Gutsan, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the authoritative Russian newspaper “Izvestia,” the document provides for the exchange of experience in preventing corruption, the use of digital tools to identify corruption risks, the development of an anti-corruption culture, and cooperation in research and education.

The sides also discussed the use of digital technologies in combating corruption and the development of regular interaction between relevant agencies.

In 2027, Uzbekistan will host the 12th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption. The Russian side confirmed its readiness to take an active part in the event.
