Uzbekistan and Slovenia expand cooperation in the field of legal education

BUDAPEST, October 5. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Professor Suzana Kraljić, Head of the Center for Medical Law at the Faculty of Law of the Slovenian University of Maribor, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, parties noted the high potential for expanding cooperation between Tashkent State University of Law and the University of Maribor, and expressed interest in rendering the interaction a more practical and long-term character.

The sides discussed promising areas of cooperation, including development of academic exchanges, holding joint educational events, implementing joint training programs, expanding research cooperation and exchanging specialized legal literature.

In continuation of the agreements reached during online negotiations between Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Maribor in January 2026, Slovenian side handed over a number of legal publications for the Center for European Law being established at TSUL.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to further strengthening direct ties between the universities of the two countries, expanding the participation of faculty and students in joint educational and research projects, as well as developing cooperation in the field of European and international law.

Agreements reached create additional opportunities for the further development of Uzbek-Slovenian cooperation in the field of higher legal education, academic exchange and scientific research.
