KUWAIT CITY, October 5. /Dunyo IA/.  An exhibition titled “Food and Handicraft Products of Uzbekistan” was held in Kuwait, concluding with the signing of 6 documents totalling $16 million to facilitate the export of Uzbek products to the Kuwaiti market, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan. Approximately 20 domestic enterprises participated in the event, presenting around 100 product lines.

In particular, fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, dried and processed agricultural goods, meat and confectionery products, juices, mineral water and other foodstuffs were presented to Kuwaiti consumers, importers and distributors.

Within the framework of the event, B2B negotiations were conducted, during which the Uzbek companies “Amax Exim”, “Karavan Chicken”, “Agro-Food Partner” and “Chortoq Mineral Water” discussed supply volumes, pricing terms, and cooperation conditions with a number of Kuwaiti importing and distributing firms. Preliminary agreements were reached across other areas, and subsequent practical measures were outlined.

Furthermore, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between “Amax Exim” LLC and the Kuwaiti company “Alhafed National” to establish a trading house for Uzbek products in Kuwait. The trading house is expected to facilitate the systematic promotion of domestic products in the Kuwaiti market and the establishment of regular sales.

Optimizing export logistics also constituted a key focus of the event. Negotiations were held with Kuwaiti logistics corporations on optimizing product delivery costs.

Currently, with the participation of representatives from Navoi International Airport, “Jazeera Airways” and “Air Arabia”, possibilities are being discussed to increase passenger and cargo transportation volumes between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, develop direct air connectivity and open new air routes.

This event is aimed at expanding the presence of Uzbek products in the Kuwaiti market, diversifying export geography and product lines, as well as developing direct and long-term trade and economic ties between the business circles of the two nations.
